Dr. Moschonas, the stalwart medical director of Four Peaks Neurology, has been the cornerstone of this practice since 1993. Dr. Moschonas grew up in Vancouver, Canada, with aspirations to become a physician. His dreams came to fruition when he began his studies at St. George’s School of Medicine in 1987, before completing his residency at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center at Rutgers and completing his fellowship at the University of Arizona in 1993.
Dr. Moschonas currently serves as the Neurology Section Chairman of HonorHealth Internal Medicine Residency program, Medical Direction of Clinical Endpoints Clinical Research, and Clinical assistant professor of Neurology at the University of Arizona.
Dr. Moschonas is one of the most lauded physicians in the Valley. Dr. Moschonas has received multiple awards and accolades over the length of his career. In 2011, Dr. Moschonas was awarded the Palatucci Award for Patient Advocacy by the American Academy of Neurology. Dr. Moschonas has consistently been voted one of the Valley’s Top Physicians in Neurology, most recently for 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023.
Dr. Moschonas has conducted volumes of research touching on a variety of conditions and illnesses, including, but not limited to seizures, peripheral neuropathy, cognitive impairment, Alzheimer’s disease, and strokes. Dr. Moschonas has been published in several scholarly journals including, “The Journal of the American Medical Association” and “Spine.”
Dr. Moschonas is sought after by medical institutions all over the world. Over the years, Dr. Moschonas has been asked to lecture at conferences and hospitals in Los Angeles, Canada, Hawaii, and Greece. Dr. Moschonas has also been asked to give lectures at local hospitals, including Scottsdale Healthcare, Scottsdale Memorial Hospital, Lincoln Hospital, and Scottsdale Healthcare Osbourne. Dr. Moschonas’ commitment and passion for educating and treating his patients cannot be overstated.
Currently, Dr. Moschonas is associated with several major medical organizations, including the American College of Physicians and the American Academy of Neurology. Inspired to share his breadth of knowledge and experience with his community, Dr. Moschonas currently serves as the neurology section chairman of the HonorHealth Internal Medicine Residency program, medical director of Clinical Endpoints Clinical Research, and clinical assistant professor of neurology at the University of Arizona.
Dr. Moschonas’ two passions are helping his patients and spending time with his loving family. When Dr. Moschonas is not treating patients or conducting cutting edge scientific research, Dr. Moschonas spends his time sailing, traveling, and biking.
